Signature Guidelines
These are the guidelines for the appearance of signatures. The goal is to allow freedom of expression while maintaining a consistent and recognizable look for all Fallout signatures. Our forum signatures are a badge of honor and our best advertising, and they should reflect that with a professional appearance. An updated
Template File and the required fonts for creating signatures are available.
All signatures must use borders with a design of "cinematic look." Fallout PnP logo is in the lower right or left-hand corner. The height (thickness) of signature borders may vary, but should keep in mind the "cinematic look." It is allowable for part of the signature to overlap the borders, but this should not be used tastelessly.
Fonts, sizes, colors, and layer effects for Names and Titles should follow the format specified in the template. Some variation is acceptable. The position and alignment of this text in the signature is flexible.
File Format: Signatures should be saved as gifs (256 color, dithered), jpegs (80%), or pngs. Try each and see what gives you the best quality at the lowest file size. This will vary depending on the signature. Please keep the psd file for every signature you make.
Animated signatures are not allowed on the Fallout forums.
It is permissible for elements of the image to go beyond the area of the borders, i.e. 475px x 100px, thus creating a larger overall signature. External elements may not exceed dimensions of 500px x 150px. Keep in mind how tall signatures stretch out a forum's layout, decreasing readability.
If you'd like to make your own signature, you may do so. If you feel your signature's approval is in question, a copy of the signature may be posted in this thread, in which it may be approved by any moderator; however, all approvals are ultimately under the discretion of the Game Masters. Consequently, GM’s that do not believe your signature fits these guidelines have the right to contact you.
